    Good pellet size but generally disappointing

    Compared to the PitBoss pellets I normally buy, these Maple Pellets by Vermont Castings are a disappointment. There was a ton of sawdust in the bag. The pellets don't burn all that hot so you'll go through a lot more than with other brands. Lastly, the pellets create a much thicker smoke than most, and the smell sticks to your clothes more. On the plus side, the pellets are a good size and should fit most grills. Tested on a Broil King Regal 500 Pro pellet grill.

    Vermont castings review

    I have been using the Vermont castings pellets for just over 2 years now and I have been impressed. Initially only using lumberjack pellets I switched to these and have found my burn time much longer. The flavor is good but not overly strong even on longer cooks
